About Us
The mission of the Calgary International Montessori Academy is to provide a rich, individualized educational experience, which guides and nurtures the natural unfolding of the whole individual and inspires a lifetime love of learning and peace. We are professional educators working together to provide a warm, loving, and nurturing environment for children. We share a vision of peace, both inner and in the classroom environment. We work to achieve that peace through our own daily experiences and through the skills we are developing ourselves. We strive to meet the needs of each individual child. Children need to feel loved and cared for with respect. By providing this and an environment conducive to learning, children will become loving, compassionate, respectful human beings with a desire and love for learning and towards one another.
In the tradition of Dr. Maria Montessori, our school is committed to providing the finest in early childhood education. Our goal is that each child attending our school will develop the following assets:

Conferences - scheduled conferences are held with parents during the school year to discuss the progress and development of the child.

Observations - parents are strongly encouraged to schedule time during the school year to observe their child in the classroom.

Progress Reports - progress reports are presented in November and May of each school year.
Founder's Message
Welcome to Calgary International Montessori Academy. It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we start this 2015/2016 academic year. As a founder of CIMA, I am truly honored to be working within a school community that shares such a wonderful commitment to children education.
CIMA has an amazing and dedicated staff. I am proud to be part of a team who strive to ensure that we challenge students to be the best that they can be. We help them to accept their own and others' strengths and challenges and celebrate each other’s successes. As montessorians, we endeavor to help students to see mistakes not as failures, but as essential parts of the learning process.
Our aim is to make sure that all get the most they can from their education, enjoy their time with us and achieve their highest potential.
As a school community, we will lay the foundation for student success in school and in life. We do this by creating strong partnerships between the home and school. We look forward to working with parents and students to maintain the excitement, enthusiasm and faithful spirit that makes success possible.
